Hello Upinngil Patrons!
Gearing up for another growing season! CSA shares are now available for purchase. Here’s the link to our new digital sign up form.
Filling out this form will reserve your share, but we are not collecting payment online. Please mail a check, or bring cash or check to the store, or pay with Common Good! We will load your card once we have received payment. For more information about how the CSA works visit our CSA page.
The winter greens in our 100% solar heated hoop house continue to grow, slowly but surely. Simon is able to cut about 1/4 of the beds every week, and they regrow in about a month, so we get a modest harvest of winter greens about once a week depending on the forecast.
New this year, we built a low tunnel in the Market Garden. This is protecting a fall planting of spinach that will be harvested in March or April to give us an abundance of spinach around the time when we have to pull up the high tunnel greens for early tomatoes. Maybe we’ll even have enough spinach to start making those Spinach & Cheese Croissants again that everyone has been asking for!
