Your purchase of an Upinngil CSA share helps support our small, highly diversified family farm. Your upfront commitment and financial support early in the season makes what we do possible. In exchange, we are thoroughly committed to providing you with a season’s worth of healthy, delicious, sustainably-produced, and affordable food.

Here’s how our CSA share works:

  • Come into the Upinngil Bakery and purchase your CSA share for the season. Existing members simply ask the storekeeper to re-load your card for one of the values below. You will receive a swipe-able CSA card at a 15% discount (if paying Cash or Check).
  • Many share sizes are available:
    • $255 Cost for $300 Value
    • $340 Cost for $400 Value
    • $425 Cost for $500 Value
    • $510 Cost for $600 Value
    • $595 Cost for $700 Value
    • $680 Cost for $800 Value
    • $765 Cost for $900 Value
  • Once you have your share you can start using it immediately. Your CSA card is for use on PRODUCE items only. Anything located on the PRODUCE screen of the register is eligible. Visit the farm as often as you can, pick out whatever produce you like. Select your items from the PRODUCE screen in the self check-out kiosk and swipe your CSA card. Or… bring your purchases to the full service register in the bakery, let them know you will be paying with your CSA card.
  • Any items you wish to purchase not located on the PRODUCE screen must be checked out as a separate transaction. This rule is self-enforced, so please pay attention to it.
  • Pick-your-own crops; Strawberries, Raspberries, Snap Peas, Green Beans, Herbs, & Flowers are also eligible for purchase with your CSA share.
  • Shares do not expire, your balance will remain on your card for as long as it takes you to use it. However you will not have another opportunity to reload until next spring.
  • You may begin using your share immediately. Our store is open year-round, with our own salad mix, potatoes, and winter squash available through the winter as well as produce from many other local farms including weekly year-round deliveries from Picadilly Farm in Winchester.
  • We encourage you to pay cash, check or CommonGood.
  • If you choose to use a credit card a 2.75% surcharge will be applied (equates to a 12.25% discount instead of 15%). Please make checks payable to Upinngil.
  • Shares are available for sale until June 1st of each season.

Our farm is wide open to visitors 8am-7pm every day of the year. Every time you visit there is something new to see. Take a walk out back to visit the cows or see the spectacular view from the hilltop. Wander the market garden, pick your own fresh sugar snap peas, or poke your nose in the greenhouse and bask in the warmth. See if there is a newborn calf in the barn. Pick raspberries in the backyard and watch the chickens hard at work. Ask us questions, we all love to talk about what we do.
