The Little Red Hen is the Upinngil Farm Bakery. We started in 2008 in the farmhouse kitchen, baking bread and cookies from our own Gill grown wheat. In 2020 we expanded the farm store and created a commercial kitchen space where we could continue to make food and serve customers year round. We bake from scratch daily: whole grain breads, cookies, muffins, pastries, granola, and much more. We no longer grow our own wheat but we do mill our own fresh whole grain flours and heavily utilize our own farm-grown ingredients and local ingredients as much as possible. In recent years the baking has outpaced our wheat growing. We now purchase the majority of our wheat from King Arthur Flour and Farmer Ground Flour. We still showcase whole grain flours heavily in all of our baked goods and mill our own whole grain flours fresh for our bakery every week.

Sorrel’s signature Pumpkin Pies (actually made with Upinngil Butternut Squash) are available for Thanksgiving.
Our granola is a favorite with many customers. It’s made with Local Wheat Bran and Maple Syrup.
